Wire fraud is a type of fraud that has been around and only continues to evolve as our technology grows. Wire fraud is committed using emails, text, social media, fax, or any telecommunications.
An example of a wire fraud attempt could be you received an email claiming your relative is in trouble and needs funds to assist them getting the help they need. In this attempt you would never wire the money, you would call your relative directly to see if they need the assistance.
Another example could be someone sends you a text message regarding a housing property that is “now available”, and they request a deposit to hold the property for you. In this attempt you would not wire the sender money you would contact the agent of the property directly.
Though wire fraud is punishable with jail time and major fines, wire fraud is attempted daily from all over the world. When you wire money, it is nearly impossible to trace and reverse the transaction; The only way to avoid wire fraud is to never wire money to a stranger.

The federal holiday of #Juneteenth marks the day when Union Army soldiers led by Major General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas in 1865 to take control of the state and ensure that all enslaved people be freed. This occurred more than two years after President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation which declared “that all persons held as slaves” within the rebellious states “are, and henceforward shall be free.” This event freed over 250,000 slaves still held in bondage in Texas. Enslavers throughout the South didn’t recognize the Emancipation Proclamation until Union Army soldiers came to enforce the order. #juneteenthcelebration

Black History Month is an annual recognition in February of the history, achievements, and influence of the Black community in the United States. The origins of Black History Month can be traced back to 1915 when the historian Carter G. Woodson and the prominent minister Jesse E. Moorland founded the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History (ASNLH), an organization dedicated to researching and promoting achievements by Black Americans and other peoples of African descent. Known today as the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH), the group sponsored a national Negro History week in 1926, choosing the second week of February to coincide with the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass.

You can reduce production time on approximately half of refi transactions. We can provide our customers with an expedited process which means they can make refinance title loan decisions more quickly. Stewart Accelerate leverages traditional and non-traditional data sources to accelerate and, in many cases, eliminate, the title search process. Even when title searches can’t be eliminated, the output report reduces the time and cost for curative processing by reconciling property and consumer personal information to minimize the number of curative actions.
Powered by advances in technology, the platform leverages and automates title processing best practices with traditional, non-traditional, real property and title data sources to expedite the speed, quality and accuracy of results.
Stewart Accelerate:
Eliminates the need for Property Index and/or General Index plant/abstractor search for qualified transactions
Reduces risk by reconciling liens and encumbrances against additional data source
Gives curative information on mortgage servicer and existing account numbers
Uses MERS and credit data, which allows for a systematic process to clear closed mortgages that are unreleased in public records
Provides an instant predictive decision on the complexity of the transaction
Provides cost saving results in seconds, eliminating time-intensive traditional search, examination and curative practices. Files requiring traditional practices are provided a curative worksheet to expedite the process
Provides indemnification for losses based on the search information provided in the report
How it works
The title order is delivered via integration, then Stewart Accelerate determines whether all data exists for processing. Stewart Accelerate will pull property data, consumer data, and, in some cases, document copies. The platform then instantaneously analyzes all data based on rules set leveraging Stewart’s underwriting guidelines overlay. A results report indicates whether a title search can be bypassed or if limited curative or full search is required. The final Stewart Accelerate decision can be delivered immediately via PDF. Documents can be pulled and delivered in select markets, and commitment can be delivered within a few hours following a decision, where documents are available online.
